Re: Garage Builder recomendations

Nobody does concrete any more without a mini excavator at the very least. You think these dudes are out here digging garage pads with shovels?

Re: Which is the correct wideband controller/ gauge in 2019/2020?

These guys show actual data logs between teh AEM X Series, and some of the older controllers (Innovate LC2 and PLX SM-AFR Gen4). AEM also claims to be able to keep sensors alive longer. http://speed.academy/aem-x-series-wideband-afr-controller-tested-fastest-responding-wideband-confirmed/ The only o...

Re: Which is the correct wideband controller/ gauge in 2019/2020?

What does a Ballenger get you over an Innovate or AEM contoller? Accuracy? Signal processing speed? Reliability?

Where can I find data on sensor reliability/ accuracy/ etc?

Which is the correct wideband controller/ gauge in 2019/2020?

I haven't bought a wideband O2 sensor controller since the Innovate LC1 came out. There are a half dozen options I'm seeing people using now including the AEM X Series, Innovate LC2/ MTX-L/ MTX-AL/ MTX-L+, 14point7 Spartan, and PLX SM-AFR. I need to feed data to an MSPNP Gen 2 in an E30. Are there a...

I have a Magic Stick 3 I'd put on you cheap. I wouldn't really say it's "small", though...

Re: Garage Builder recomendations

I used Danny Whitt. He's a pain in the ass to communicate with, but his work is excellent, and he did it for a fraction of my next closest bid. I would work with him again if he would call me back.

Doing it in the cold months when his guys aren't busy will get you a better deal.

I have carried one of these for years. They're excellent.

A Galloway Sweat Pea trigger and springs make it a much more pleasant weapon to shoot,by the way.

Re: 1994 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo, auto, stock - $40K

The new ones are 50-60k, and they will smoke a stock Mk4. The engine and trans is still pretty unexplored, though, as far as mods go. And lots of people think they're ugly. I like them, though. I thought the BMWs had been making 700ish hp with those motors already? I have seen pretty good power out...

He's in crazy town at 11,4. Especially with an auto, but really no Mk 3 is worth that without a JZ swap in it. Maybe not even then.

If this was a 6 speed car it would be worth twice the asking price here. Honestly, I don't think it's priced too far off with the auto in it.

I've got a pretty bad taste in my mouth over GM cars these days, or I'd consider buying the thing myself and swapping it.

How?
Honestly, I don't remember. That was their official reasoning for the change, though.

Maybe they integrated the timing gear into the flywheel boss and were able to shorten the crank?

Ever since I became aware of Audi's 4.2L V8 rear-chain(s) albatross, I've spent countless hours considering why the fuck they'd do it that way. I mean, it's not simply "because we can", is it??? Surely they were operating under some objectives and criteria that pointed them in that direction, right...
