How much are the new ones and how do they compare perf wise? Saw something the other day that the orig Supra, with inflation, is a $55K vehicle now.
Re: 1994 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo, auto, stock - $40K
The new ones are 50-60k, and they will smoke a stock Mk4. The engine and trans is still pretty unexplored, though, as far as mods go. And lots of people think they're ugly. I like them, though.

I thought the BMWs had been making 700ish hp with those motors already?
89 Mustang LX... Are these jack stands welded to my car?
Re: 1994 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo, auto, stock - $40K
I wonder if the MKV is going to depreciate like a BMW or a Toyota? Hopefully like a BMW. I plan on snagging one when they drop below 30k. Low 11s in the 120s shouldn't be too difficult. I never drive my MKIV out of fear of getting hit. I couldn't care less in a MKV. lol

I have seen pretty good power out of the N54 and N55 motors, but not the new B58. I don't think they've existed long enough to say where the limit for reliability really is.
I will say that Steph Papadakis tore one down on Youtube's recently, and the design does look VERY strong, but the bearings are typically German narrow, and everything is typically German complicated. And the merged exhaust ports are stupid.

I'm really curious how far they can go with this engine.
Probably way farther than I can imagine.
I know 15 years ago I never imagined how far the 2j could be taken on OEM block and head.
Also, curious how much the trans can handle.
As far as I know they aren't doing anything to the trans.
Anybody know for sure? I don't keep up with the new Poopra like I should.

A BMW mech I knew said they were made to wear out and die. Think 740 kinda car though, and he is dead now so I can't ask.
Is this one different?
That little jap motor did some stuff didn't it Gary?
