For the past year or so, my 2007 Tahoe LTZ 5.3 has had this weird vibration noise. More of a rattle than anything. It has a rhythm of about once a second. very slow. It is not related to being in drive/moving. It is more noticeable first thing in the morning when everything is cold. the only mod the truck is to delete the DoD stuff with an HP tuners adjustment from Clyde.

I used a stethoscope to check the accessory pullies, engine oil pan, valve covers, intake. It does not appear to be in the engine that I can tell.

Could it be a motor mount? Or maybe a lifter in some weird way about to go out?
I have been all up in the cab and am fairly certain it is not in the dash. It sounds like it is from just in front of the firewall in that no mans lands of reach. But when I am in that area, the engine/exhaust noise drowns it out.

Couldn't hear a thing, just turn up the radio.

On my older chebby the cats would rattle, probably the stuff inside was coming loose.

What about the damn thing dinging 5 times randomly? Mine does that with no indicators lit.
